I’m based in Portland, Maine, with my husband, Geoff, and am a content creator in my early 30s. I share my life in Maine, New England, and beyond. Around here, New England living is authentic and chic. We like eating lobster rolls with our hands and tailgating at a football game, but we also love drinking rosé while on a fancy vacation. Always chic, yet always down to Earth. We always keep it real and always stay laughing no matter what life throws our way!

Why did you start your blog?
I created my blog in March of 2016 as a creative outlet for myself. After graduating college and starting my career in special education, I felt like something was missing and felt this longing to create. For years, I enjoyed reading others’ blogs and would wake up every morning thinking about how I needed to just start.
Additionally, I grew up in a small town which felt extremely sheltered compared to other destinations in the United States such as Los Angeles, New York City, or even Boston. Fun fact: to this day – the state of Maine only has two malls in the entire state. I grew up an hour and a half from each mall. As you can imagine, my friends and I had to get creative regarding our style and it took work to feel ‘dialed in’ to the trends. I wanted my Maine girls (and those all across the country) to have a place where they feel they belong and can stay up on what’s trending.
Eventually, I took the plunge and here we are today!
When did you start your blog?
My first blog post launched in March of 2016. My blog actually first launched as Brunch on Sunday, and received a refresh (and rebrand!) in August of 2021.
Do you wear hair extensions?
My hair is real! I’ve never worn hair extensions and frankly, probably won’t ever! I was born with thick hair that grows fast. I’m a natural blonde, but brighten up my hair with highlights a couple times a year! My hair stylist is Maggie Sabine, who owns the salon, Eunoia, in Portland, Maine. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Owls Head, Maine. Doesn’t it sound like the cutest town ever? I can assure you, it is! I lived in Boston for seven years (2014-2021) and am thrilled to be back in Maine as of August 2021. I’m based in Portland, Maine, where it truly feels like home to me.
Did you go to college?
Yes, I went to college at the University of Maine in Orono, Maine where I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I studied business marketing for the first year and a half of my time at UMaine. I was also on the University of Maine D1 Cheerleading team for all four years of college.
