I’ve spent the past week reminiscing over my vacation photos, unpacking (finally), and daydreaming about my next vacation. Since I don’t travel a ton, I always feel that after I go on a trip, after a few days of being home, I’m ready to plant myself back on a plane and adventure in a new place I’ve never seen before. My Pinterest travel board has been going into overtime because of this lol. Currently dreaming of Greece, Costa Rica, and Italy, and Bora Bora, and pretty much everywhere!
Anyways, I hope you guys had a great weekend! Saturday was so, so gorgeous in Boston and around 65 degrees, which meant enjoying coffee and breakfast outside on our patio, which is always my favorite start to the day. Hoping the weather is like this consistently soon! Saturday night we made it to Barcelona for drinks and appetizers on their patio (such a fun spot if you’re near Brighton or Brookline!) They also have a second Massachusetts location in the South End (haven’t been yet to see if the set up is the same, but I’m sure it’s great and very similar!)
Sunday morning was the opening day of the SoWA Open Market which was so fun to attend, and I was extra excited because I never ended up making it last year! There are a ton of food trucks which was my main focus of the day, but also lots of vendors with artwork, children’s clothes, cards, etc. (vendors vary from week to week). But back to the food trucks, seriously, it was sooooo hard to decide because everything looked amazing. I got a blueberry lemonade and a cheddar and tomato grilled cheese from Roxy’s Grilled Cheese. My only regret is not adding bacon to it and not getting the truffle fries (what was I thinking?). Geoff got a pulled pork sandwich from Bon Me which was amazing. Their food always tastes so fresh! (I obviously stole a bite). Also, do yourself a favor and get yourself an ice cream cookie sandwich from Frozen Hoagies’. We got coffee oreo ice cream with classic chocolate chip cookies and it was unreal. Another favorite of ours was the cold brew iced coffee on tap from Pourman’s Coffee if you’re in need of a jolt of caffeine. They were also selling oatmeal, chocolate chip, cherry, bacon cookies. To. Die. For. Can you guys tell I love food truck season? If there was a lobster roll food truck I would have lost my mind, and would have been double fisting. Luckily the first lobster rolls of the season will be reserved for their very own own special day, as they should be haha.
I recently got this trench coat from Zara which is insanely comfortable and also really nice to travel in (wore it on the plane for vacation). I love long trench coats because they instantly put together an outfit, even if you’re wearing simple basics underneath like I was here. It’s still a little chilly in Boston, so this is getting major wear. My brother says it looks like I’m modeling the executive by Kramer lol and Geoff doesn’t like it either but whatever… Do you, ladies! I will say that it wrinkles SO easily which I have found super annoying because I hate ironing more than anything in the world, and after getting a little stain on it, I looked at the tag for washing instructions which then showed me: “Don’t Wash,” “Don’t Dry,” “Don’t Bleach” …. UGH OKAY. Super annoying. I don’t know about you guys but I almost always forget to look at washing instructions until after I’ve purchased an item, and by then it’s too late… I know it will be destined to lay in my dirty laundry pile forever. But annoyances aside, I’m obsessed with the pale blush color of this coat and the fabric is super smooth and comfortable. Some other trench coats I’m loving from Zara are this, this, this, and this. I’ve also linked other trench coats I’m loving right now, below! Since it was drizzly and we were just going to the open market and running errands, I opted for an outfit that would be cute but also really comfortable and effortless. Underneath I wore a t-shirt from Old Navy that I’m obsessed with lately and is the most comfortable one in my wardrobe; I’ve seriously worn it a couple days in a row woooops. It’s also just under $15 right now. Thinking of stocking up on other colors (or even the same color)! I love t-shirts for the weekend and even sometimes for work under a cardigan, and there’s nothing better than one that’s super comfortable while also being the perfect oversized fit (I’m wearing a size small). Not seen, but slightly peeking out, I’m also wearing a lightweight knit oversized cardigan from H&M. I paired this with my new favorite bag from H&M which is a Prada dupe for under $40 and fits so much into it! I normally go for neutral bags that are black or brown, so this is a fun change for me!
Also, just wanted to let you guys know about a little update to the Brunch on Sunday site. At the top menu bar under “Shop,” I have a couple new sections where you can shop my looks straight from my Instagram or Snapchat! Under “Shop my Instagram” you can now click on photos I’ve uploaded to Instagram and get outfit details! This is a quick way to get outfit details if you don’t feel like scrolling through my posts or searching in the search bar! The “Shop My Snapchat” items will be products and items I feature on Snapchat that don’t make it to my Instagram. I recently linked some of my favorite hair products and my favorite beauty products from my nightly beauty routine! I update these pages throughout the week, so make sure to keep checking back!
