Believe it or not, Geoff and I have never sent out Christmas cards! This year I did a little bit of planning ahead (never happens) and had one of my younger brothers take our picture when we went home to my parents’ for Thanksgiving. My mom has only recently come to terms with the fact that her 27 year old daughter and 26 year old son aren’t going to be in the Christmas card forever. Love you mom 😉 . So although my name is still on my parents’ Christmas cards that they send out, this was the first year that I really felt like I wanted to send out my own Christmas cards.
OUR 2017 CHRISTMAS CARD WITH BASIC INVITE
Basic Invite recently reached out to me to partner together which was perfect timing! I knew I wanted to send out photo Christmas cards to our family and friends, but had zero idea where to begin. I’ve always loved the more personalized holiday cards that have a photograph, rather than the generic ones you buy at the store. Plus, they’re so much fun to look back on later when you’ve grown up a bit through the years.
Soooo, you’re probably wondering, what makes Basic Invite’s cards stand out from the rest? Personalization is important to me, and one thing Basic Invite has down (among other things) is personalization! For any of their cards, you can personalize every single color from the font, to background colors, designs on the cards, etc. I love this because sometimes you love almost everything about a card except for one little thing. Basic Invite helps with this dilemma because they have tons of options for personalization and almost unlimited color options. Plus, I love that you can see the preview updated with your choices to see if you’ll actually like it. To give you a better idea of what makes Basic Invite stand out from the rest, you can see below where I’ve put together some of the highlights:
BASIC INVITE OFFERS:
- Almost Unlimited Color Options
- Custom Samples
- Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes
- Address Capturing Service – This one is worth noting because it solves my biggest dilemma when it comes to sending Christmas cards. Addresses! How the heck are you supposed to find the time to text/call every person on your list in order to send them a card?! I’m convinced this is the one thing keeping everyone from sending a holiday card. Basic Invite allows you to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request your friends and family’s addresses which are stored in the customer’s account and then can be selected during the design process. Basic Invite also offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders. This service alone makes Basic Invite completely worth it in my eyes!
- Foil
- Over 250 Christmas Card and Holiday Card Designs
Right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off with coupon code: holi30
I ordered the cards in this post as custom samples to see what the heck we actually wanted to order for our Christmas cards. This is a lifesaver because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done photography printing (not cards, but still) where it looks great on the screen, and then you get it in person and you’re not happy with it. I was so happy with how these turned out. When deciding on our cards, it even let us know that a photograph wasn’t high enough resolution so I was able to go back and up the resolution of the photo before pulling the trigger and getting something in the mail that I wasn’t happy with. I decided on this sample, this sample, this sample, and this sample. I also ordered a custom sample of a holiday party invitation. All of Basic Invite’s holiday cards can be found here. If you already have Christmas cards nailed down, Basic Invite also has super cute Christmas party invitations, work holiday party invitations, and other party invitations. I highly recommend!! And to my family and friends who will be receiving one of these in the mail… You’ll just have to wait to see which one it is 😉 Do you guys send out Christmas/holiday cards to friends and family?!
Thank you to Basic Invite for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
