I wanted to try a new Friday series for things I’m loving right now. The reality of #BlogLife is that there’s a ton of things I love that don’t always make the blog, my Instagram, or any of my other social media channels, whether that’s a restaurant, a beauty product, or a new place in the city that I’m obsessed with. There just aren’t enough hours in the day, and quite frankly, I don’t think you guys want me posting seven Instagrams a day lol. I’m still trying to decide if it will be something that will be on the blog every Friday, or if it’s something that will make the blog a couple times a month. After reading, let me know your thoughts about this new series in the comments. Should I keep it coming?! Let me know! Here’s a roundup of five things I’m obsessed with right now:

Harry’s Razors
Not even kidding- I got the closest shave of my entire life with this razor. I’ve been familiar with Harry’s for a few years now since Geoff has one of their razors and used to be part of their shave club. When we first started dating and I would visit him in Boston before I lived here, I would use his razor whenever I forgot mine (secret’s out now lol). Before using Harry’s, I would shave with my old razor, and even after a fresh shave, my legs still wouldn’t feel that smooth. Since my hair grows really fast, I blamed myself and told myself I was destined to have stubbly legs forever. Let me tell you – you’re NOT destined to have hairy, stubbly legs forever. Ditch your razor and trust me on this one. Because the blades don’t have crazy amounts of the gel padding, the blade gets extremely close, giving you the closest shave. They’re running an amazing deal right now where you can be sent a free kit and only pay for the shipping. Also, the blades are only $2 a piece! You can’t beat that deal. Anyone else sick of paying $30 for a pack of crappy razor blades at the grocery store? Disclosure: I was sent the Winston set from Harry’s free of charge, however, I am continuing to buy the blades because I’m so obsessed with this razor set. It’s that good, you guys!

At Sweetgreen, eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to skimp on flavor or taste. For those not familiar with Sweetgreen, it’s a salad chain that is based in Los Angeles, but has locations all over Boston, D.C., New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Chicago. Calling it a chain feels wrong because when we hear the word “chain,” we often think unhealthy, food loaded with preservatives, and unsustainable. In fact, Sweetgreen is the exact opposite. Sweetgreen believes that where our food comes from matters, the health of individuals and our communities matters, and that cooking from scratch is best. Sweetgreen’s mission is to “inspire healthier communities by connecting people to real food.” I could go on forever about all of the amazing things Sweetgreen stands for and has done for communities all over the country, but unfortunately, there isn’t enough time for that.
Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette (the two behind amazing restaurants such as Toro, Little Donkey, & Coppa) have teamed up with Sweetgreen to create the “Toro Bowl.” The great news is that it’s incredibly delicious, but the bad news is that it’s only located in Boston, and only for a limited time (until May 31st). Sweetgreen has only collaborated with a handful of chefs, and never a chef located in Boston, meaning that this is a huge deal.
I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Toro Bowl launch party at the Ink Block location in Boston a couple weeks ago, and to be among the first to try it. Delicious. It’s a warm bowl with charred jalapeno yogurt dressing, Sweetgreen hot sauce, feta, basil, radishes, roasted corn, tomatoes, jalapenos, roasted potatoes, hot chickpeas, shredded kale, warm quinoa, and a side of lemon to squeeze on top. Flavor explosion. But seriously, it’s so delicious, and this is coming from someone who sometimes thinks she would rather eat cardboard than kale. Sweetgreen has this crazy ability to make the healthy taste amazing, and to make you crave it!

I became familiar with Patchology a few months ago when they were nice enough to reach out and send me a couple products to try. Patchology believes that using products that deliver amazing ingredients on your terms changes everything. They “strive to put control of your skincare routine back into your hands.” Think no fuss skincare that works. For example, many of their masks are just five minute treatments, giving everyone the time and ability to be pampered. I’m a huge fan of their Restoring Night Eye Gels. They feel like heaven under your eyes after a long day of looking at a computer screen, or a day you’ve just had a really, long day. The best part is that they’re just a five minute treatment. They contain retinol (post on retinol’s amazing anti-aging properties coming soon) which speeds up cell turnover, reduces fine lines, and the appearance of large pores. These eye gels reduce the appeance of dark circles, reduce fine lines and crows’ feet, and brighten the under eye area. I like to use them a couple times a week before bed.
If the thought of a lip mask intrigues you, and you’re looking to recover after a long winter, these Lip Renewal Lip Gels soothe dry lips and prep the lips for lip color. I like using them at night with the eye gels to unwind, but you could also use them in the morning before putting on your lipstick, lip liner, or lip gloss. They’re latex free and contain Niacinamide, peptides, and green tea extract soothe and deliver antioxidant benefits. You guys know I’m a huge face mask girl, so I’m dying to try this face mask next.

Taco Tuesdays at Honeycomb Creamery
I became familiar with Honeycomb Creamery after I discovered them on Instagram last year. Honeycomb Creamery is located in Cambridge and makes small batch craft ice cream. What is craft ice cream? Think non-traditional flavors from your traditional ice cream shop that is locally sourced. Some of their ice cream flavors include earl grey lemon, brown butter oatmeal cookie, matcha pistachio, cold brew coffee chip, and honey lavender to name just a few. They also have a few flavors of vegan ice cream.
Anyways, they have “Taco Tuesday” every Tuesday where they put together a choco-taco inspired ice cream. Totally brings me back to the 90’s… Anyone else?! I’m forever a choco-taco fan. This past Tuesday was a churro taco with two scoops of cinnamon dulche de leche ice cream, and topped with a homemade hard-shell type chocolate sauce. One word – unreal. I seriously looked like a little kid having their first ice cream. I was covered in cinnamon and sugar and had chocolate sauce all over my face. It was seriously delicious. Check out their Instagram page here, and make sure to follow along on Tuesdays to see what type of ice cream taco they’re putting together that day. Fingers crossed the churro ice cream taco comes back so you guys can try it!

Bai is my obsession, and if it didn’t affect my wallet, I would buy cases on cases of this every week. Last week, the best thing in the entire world happened, and I got a four-case delivery of Bai products. Cue the teenage girl screaming. Okay, not really, but I was soooo excited, so thank you again to the team at Bai. In high school and even college, I was the biggest juice drinker. Turns out, juice is actually pretty terrible for you if you drink four glasses a day like I was doing. It’s loaded with sugar, and that’s pretty much it (unless you’re drinking 100% juice). Even today, I stray away from juices because they’re loaded with sugar. Meet my best friend for the past couple years – Bai aka BAE (but pronounced bye). Bai is sweetened with stevia and erythritol which is a low calorie sugar-alcohol. It tastes like table sugar, however, it’s 30% less sweet. The sweetener blend is created through a whole fermenting process, however, is found naturally in fruits such as pears and grapes, mushrooms, some fermented foods like wine and soy sauce.
Anyways, one of the Bai products I’m super excited about is their “antiwater.” Bai’s antiwater contains antioxidants which fight free-radicals and electrolytes. Everyone needs to be eating and drinking things that have antioxidants in them because they’re not only extremely healthy for you, but they also help with the aging process (AKA you won’t age as quickly). I’ve been chugging these waters since I got them, and I love that they’re 28 oz. If you think about it, drinking just two of these means you’re pretty darn close to drinking an entire day’s amount of water. You can buy it here on Amazon.
