Ever since I can remember, from what felt like Halloween-time to Christmas, whenever I wanted something (usually the latest Polly Pocket set, American Girl doll, or the latest Crash Bandicoot video game.. lol lol lol anyone else?) my mom would make me wait and say, “we don’t buy things for ourselves this time of year. You have to wait for Christmas.” I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, and while many of us may not follow this exactly, I do like to save my money this time of year by purchasing less for myself, so that I can spend more on loved ones, and not feel so stressed about money. That being said, when I am purchasing for myself in this time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I’m buying very little, or am at least buying things for myself that are inexpensive.
The sales lately have been absolutely crazy, but if you’re anything like me, they are a bit overwhelming to navigate. Rather than rounding up tons and tons of various items and categories, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite sweaters for you guys that are under $40, and many are under $30.
Honestly, pretty much all I wear this time of year are sweaters. They’re comfortable, stylish, and best of all… warm! I prefer wearing oversized, long sleeve sweaters because I’m always freezing. One of my favorite trends lately – bralettes under sweaters so that it’s peeking out just a little (plus it’s all the rage with the middle schoolers at the school I work at haha!!) That’s how you know it’s in, right?! I hope you guys find some you like, and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you celebrate! I went home to Maine to my parents, went to Northern Maine to visit my grandmother, and got to catch up with many friends over nice meals. Nothing better than that, am I right?! Have a great Monday!
