My summer makeup routine is very low maintenance. But I love it that way. Because who wants to deal with your makeup sweating off and smudging? Typically for summer makeup, I just want my skin to look good, have a little glow, and to look bright eyed and awake. Luckily, my skin has been the best it’s EVER been (you can read about my wedding skincare routine and my aesthetician here) so I’m finally loving having my skin showing through vs. trying to cover it up.
Also, don’t forget your SPF in your summer makeup routine (and honestly, all year long). Super important!
My Summer Makeup Routine
Tinted Moisturizer / Foundation
I wear this tinted moisturizer every single day. My aesthetician introduced me to it and it’s amazing! It has amazing SPF and is truly more of a SPF than a tinted moisturizer, but it gives you the best glow. For me, it’s what I wanted Glow Screen to be (sadly did not like Glow Screen).
I don’t wear foundation unless it’s a special occasion such as a wedding or if we’re going out to dinner. But when I do, this is the foundation I use. Tip: It applies so much better by using a brush (I use this one) and then blotting with a damp beauty blender vs. just using a beauty blender.
Concealer
I use this concealer during the daytime (it’s extremely light and a bit more like a highlighter) and this concealer at night or if I am in need of camouflaging eye bags. If I have a pimple, I typically use this concealer.
Bronzer
This bronzer palette is my absolute favorite. I also use this bronzer in the shade Laguna – holy grail for sure!
Blush
I have this blush in the shade Orgasm and love it, but during the summer, I typically reach more for this blush in the shade Storm. You only need the tiniest bit.
Mascara
I’ve been using this mascara for about a year and I LOVE IT. It’s so good. Also, since I have a lash lift and tint, there are a lot of days I go without mascara (especially the first two weeks of the lash lift & tint when my lashes still look super dark).
Eyebrows
Since I got a brow tint a couple weeks ago, I haven’t really been doing much to my brows, but I do love the feathered look. I love this brow wax and this brow pencil in the shade Taupe.
