Hi guys!! Hope you had a great weekend. We’ve been keeping our weekends super low key which I’m actually loving. As much as I love having plans and getting out and doing things, it’s also so nice to spend a weekend in the apartment cooking, watching Netflix, getting in a workout, and catching up on little chores around the apartment. I know, sounds sooo boring but sometimes those weekends are a necessity! We went out Saturday night to a hockey game at Boston College since they were playing my alma mater, the University of Maine! We lost but it was still a great time and totally had me reminiscing over going to games in college with my girlfriends. I don’t know a single person on the team anymore which makes me feel so old but hey that’s what happens, am I right?! I was hoping to see someone in the stands that I recognized from my UMaine days but I didn’t see anyone!

Anyways, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about beauty in my Instagram DM’s lately (PS. come follow along if you aren’t already!), and SO many of you responded recently when I posted an Instagram story about the best face cleanser that I swear by…. Fresh Beauty’s Soy Face Cleanser. Keep reading to see why I love it!

THE BEST FACE CLEANSER THAT I SWEAR BY

I’ve used Fresh’s beauty products on and off for years (you can read a blog post here that I wrote about their products). I won’t lie, in the past, I’ve been very fickle about the products I’ve used. I was constantly on the look out for the “next best thing” or the next best product that would get rid of every last blackhead and visible pore and smooth out every last fine line. I would switch up what I was using on my skin daily. In the past two years, every other month or so, I’ve been getting little tiny blister bumps on my face from an allergic reaction to an ingredient. A year and a half ago it was so bad that I had to go to the doctor and was in tears. If you guys saw how bad it was then you would understand because it was SO bad. I had tiny, bright red blisters covering my entire face. Prescription strength hydrocortisone is a miracle worker luckily, however, I still haven’t quite pin-pointed what ingredient is causing these issues. At first I thought it was sunflower seeds and/or sunflower oil, but now lately I’m convinced my skin can no longer tolerate vitamin C serums and/or the combination of vitamin C serums with sunscreen on top.

But anyway, because of this, I’ve become much more consistent with the products I’ve been using on my skin, mainly out of fear that testing something new will cause a freak out. Which got me thinking… No product (or at least not many that I’ve encountered) are an overnight fix to every skin issue you’ve ever had. Most require diligence and months of using the product consistently to notice a difference in your skin. Meet Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser. I’ve been using this product since December and it has proved to be a really amazing product! I’ve always had issues finding a cleanser that I’ve loved. In my experience, most face cleansers have either been way too harsh, strip the skin entirely of all oils, or just don’t feel like they’re actually getting the job done.

So why is this the best face cleanser…? I haven’t had a painful under the skin pimple (those ones you get around your chin and jaw area at that time of the month) since using this cleanser! Yes, for real. You must be thinking, oh well, you must have perfect skin. UM, nope, I wish. My skin is far from perfect (you can read a post here about my skin struggles).

I was that person who would get at least one of these painful pimples every single month; sometimes more than one. Those are the ones that would drive me crazy because they’re painful, hard to cover, take FOREVER to go away, tempt me to pick at them, and then often leave a scar. But honestly, I haven’t had a SINGLE one since using this cleanser. That to me, can’t just be a coincidence. Not only is it doing a wonder for my hormonal break outs (there’s many reasons why I consider it the best face cleanser), but it also reduces redness, is gentle and perfect for sensitive skin, doesn’t strip the skin of essential oils, and smells refreshing (like cucumbers).
