I hope you guys had a great week! I officially completed one week at my new job. Absolutely love it so far which is nice because it tells me that my decision to change careers was completely worth it (leaving my teaching career was probably the most difficult decision I’ve had to make in my life. You can read more about it here if you’re curious). I’m still getting used to getting out of work to it being completely dark, but I think that’s a ton of people. Learning to manage both the blog and work is also something that I’m finding a bit difficult, but I’m hoping that as the weeks go on, it will feel more do-able. I truly love creating content for you guys and hearing your feedback.

Just wanted to keep this post super short and sweet. The University of Maine (where I went to college) is playing UMass at Fenway tonight (except football!!)  and I’m going with some of my girlfriends. I haven’t gotten together with some of them in years so it’s going to be the most amazing reunion. Only downside is that it’s absolutely freezing in Boston right now (like, where mittens/gloves or your hands feel like they’re getting frost bite type of cold). Already have my hand and foot warmers ready to go. I’ll be posting on Instastories, so go and follow along on Instagram if you want to see some of the shenanigans. Have a great weekend guys!

ABOUT

Hi there! My name is Mackenzie. I live in Portland, Maine with my husband and was born and raised in Maine. After spending 7 years in Boston, MA to build my career and venture outside of my home state, I realized that it felt time to move back home, and here I am! I enjoy romanticizing where I'm from and teaching others to do the same. For sponsorship opportunities, please email Mackenzienoelmurphy@gmail.com
