Knowing what to wear in between seasons can often be challenging to say the least. We’re now at that time in Boston where the snow is gone, but it’s still brutally cold. Instead of freezing in a dress to look dressy, I opted to wear my blush culottes (last seen here) with a pair of lace up sandals. To make the outfit just a bit more edgy, I opted to wear a faux leather jacket. I also wore this outfit in Charleston for a night out to the bars, but opted to swap the faux leather jacket for a jean jacket, and the lace up sandals for a low sandal to make the outfit feel less dressy.

I had the pleasure of going to the housewarming/grand opening party for Trunk Club Boston the other night and wore this outfit there. For those who aren’t familiar with Trunk Club, it’s a styling service for both men and women, and they’ve finally opened the Boston “Clubhouse.”
The Boston Trunk Club “Clubhouse” is located at 501 Boylston Street and is such a large and amazing space. There’s a full bar, both a men’s and women’s styling area, plush couches, and the office area is right in the middle of it all. It’s hard to put into words how beautiful it looks. It’s such an inviting, open space. Like I stated above, Trunk Club does styling for both men and women. It originally started as a styling service for men in Chicago, however, has expanded to women and multiple cities. There are stylists available at the Clubhouse for one on one styling appointments, however, the service is also available online, where a stylist works with you, and all of the items are sent to you at home. For the online option, you only pay for what you keep. If you receive items you don’t like or items that don’t seem to fall into your price range, you simply send them back in the provided box.
I couldn’t help but think about what an amazing service this would be for someone who just got a new job and needs multiple pieces of clothing that will work for an office setting, or someone who has tons of weddings to attend and needs multiple options. I’m usually a shop online, or quickly-pick-something-out-at -the-mall-and-get-out-of-there-as-soon-as-possible kinda girl, so I love that something like Trunk Club is turning shopping into such a personalized experience. It seems a lot like having your best friend directly next to you while shopping to give you their honest opinion on what works or doesn’t work for your body type. I’m hoping to try out this service, and if so I’ll make sure to let you guys know how it goes.
It has been absolutely freezing here in Boston over the weekend. I’m hoping for a warm spell soon! Hope you guys had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start! xo
This sounds like such a fun event! And Mackenzie, your hair has got to be some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen- it always looks so flawless!
