Romper: ASOS | Lace up Sandals: Old Navy | Clutch: Francesca’s (sold out but love this) | Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters (in the color tortoise)| Bracelets: H&M here & here | Nails: OPI (in Live.Love.Carnaval)

I’m back home in Boston after an amazing week in St. John, USVI with Geoff and my family, and am trying to get my life, as well as my apartment in order (the laundry piles seem endless). I was surprised and relieved to find out when we got to the airport at the start of the trip that my bag was one pound under the weight limit (and luckily the scale at the airport for the flight home was broken! haha life’s little wins!) I am the queen of over-packing, and then when I finally get somewhere (whether it’s a vacation or a weekend getaway) – exhausted… after making sad attempts at wheeling around my 49 lb. suitcase that seems bigger than me and lifting dragging it down stairs (stair by stair I might add), I always wear the same three things over and over again. I somehow never learn… but I mean, you never know what you’ll need, right ladies?!

If I only packed three items of clothing for my vacation to St. John, this off the shoulder romper would definitely qualify for the top three! I’m obsessed with the tropical-feeling tribal print, as it has a warm weather vibe to it and is light and airy for hot weather. The form fitting top with the more flowy bottom balances the look. If you read my last post, then you know that I’m obsessing over off the shoulder tops and dresses since they’re a perfect way to show a little skin while also keeping it classy. For some reason, I’ve always had such a hard time finding rompers that fit right, since I’ve found that most are SO short and always leave my bum hanging out. This is sometimes okay as a beach cover up or for the pool, but as an outfit for dinner or around town, it doesn’t really work. Some even seem okay in length when you try them on, but once you start walking they ride up like crazy. This is the ONLY romper I’ve found (so far!) that is long enough to cover everything and doesn’t leave me hanging out! I’m not super tall (5’5″), but maybe I need to start purchasing rompers in tall sizing. If any of you have any tips I would love to hear them! I paired it with Old Navy lace up sandals (also love these even more but they were sold out when I needed to purchase by), and the most adorable pom pom clutch that I found literally the day I left for my trip (plus it’s only $22!). The clutch is currently sold out from Francesca’s, but I will make sure to let you guys know when it’s back in stock (I’ve also linked others that I love below). Love it or hate it, the pom pom trend seems to be here for at least a little while! I thought I hated pom poms on everything, but it’s definitely growing on me, and this clutch is the perfect statement piece for spring and summer.  I wore this look to dinner one night and also around town and to the beach during the day. It’s perfect for throwing on over a swimsuit, yet also looks great dressed up with wedges. I would also pair it with a jean jacket for late spring/summer once I’m back in Boston.

I hope you guys had a great weekend! I’ve kind of been MIA for the past week since I had no cell phone service on vacation and the wifi at our villa wasn’t working for most of the trip. I was that girl checking for wifi at all the restaurants we went to (ew, hate when I do that). But it honestly felt nice to disconnect and reminded me that I need to do it more often, especially a couple hours before bed. Your mind really does feel so much more clear! I got back to Boston Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised that I wasn’t freezing my you-know-what off when I stepped outside the airport in my sandals. We had a nice night in watching Beyonce’s #Lemonade special on HBO… I mean hello!!!! How perfect is she?! Super excited about her new album and am loving SO MANY new tracks!! And the video/movie portion was just absolutely stunning and so well done. Loving the honesty from the Queen Bee…. kinda mad at Jay-Z! That being said, there’s something so refreshing about people being honest about their lives – pretty or not! It makes them seem relatable… Even Bey herself haha if that’s possible. Hope I’m not fan-girling too hard 🙂 Below I’ve linked my outfit in this post as well as some of my other favorite rompers and pom pom handbags/clutches!
